How you can help make a difference

Charitable support plays a vital role in supporting Centre 70 and the work that we do. Right now the demand for our services is greater than ever and, notwithstanding the support we get from our main contract funding bodies, we need and rely on your financial support to help us continue to provide advice and counselling to our local community

A donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated

There are several ways you can support Centre 70:

  • Make a donation at www.virginmoneygiving.com/team/centre70,
  • Make a regular donation by standing order to Account No 21497273, Sort Code 602319 at National Westminster Bank, 270 Norwood Road, SE27 9AP, Link to Gift Aid form
  • Send a cheque payable to “Centre 70” Link to Gift Aid form
  • Leave a gift in your will, contact us for a leaflet.

Do remember to fill in the Gift Aid Declaration if you are a UK taxpayer.  Gift Aid costs you nothing but adds around a quarter to your donation. Please return the form to Centre 70

Thank you so much for supporting us.

Volunteering

Centre 70 advice centre evening legal session volunteers

This operates as an adjunct to the daytime advice centre.  The underlying aim is to give initial advice to anyone who attends.  The type of legal advice is varied but the main types which arise are Consumer problems, Matrimonial and family matters, General private client matters, General Court matters and Employment matters.

The sessions are held every Monday from 7pm – 8.30/9pm. The volunteer must be a qualified lawyer  and should be able to commit for a minimum of 6 months. Generally two volunteers attend the session each week and are on the rota roughly every four weeks, or more frequent if they want.

Become a Trustee

If you are attracted to Centre 70’s aims and feel you would like to be part of the organisation we have vacancies from time to time for new Trustees.

There is no target profile for a Trustee.

Applicants ideally will :

  • reflect the characteristics of the local community in their background
  • have experience that complements skill base of the Board of Trustees
  • be able to donate their time to regular meetings and assisting and supporting our staff

The most valuable resource a new Trustee can offer is enthusiasm.

If you are interested please contact us at enquiries@centre70.org.uk or via our contact page.

Fundraising and events
